No One is Safe

I've been trying to avoid using friends' and family members' facebook posts, but this one had too many errors to ignore. There are three missing apostrophes in this one.

Fox 13 News (Salt Lake City)

Fox: Run by idiots.

Ron Artest

I think this moron's sweatshirt is supposed to say "Ballin'." But it is spelled "Ball'n," which would be pronounced "baln."

Two Jack's

An apostrophe can't be used to indicate a plural, even if ownership is involved. This sign should read "Two Jacks' Pizza," which would indicate a plural ownership.

Must Do's

With permission from the creator of this sign...

This is a very common mistake. But you should never use apostrophes to represent a plural.

Common error

Wow! What is her problem? OH! I see it! She's mad because her mom is going to force the photo shop to use an apostrophe to indicate a plural. This little girl knows better.

Christmas Fail

I've been seeing this one pop up lately, and it's really inexcusable.

Yes, the word 'Twas needs an apostrophe. But it needs it BEFORE the "t," as it replaces the "i" in "it." If the word were T'was, as it is written here on Amazon, then the full words would be Ti was rather than It was. It's really not that hard.

The best part about this one is the fact that it is wrong on the website, but right next to it, it is written correctly on the book cover.

Charles in Charge of our wins and our fails!

In this case, it is the fails we'll be looking at. Here is the back of the DVD box set of Season 2 of "Charles in Charge," courtesy of my good friend, Scott.

Let's go in for a closer look.

Ah, a classic fail. Here you can see that the family names of "Pembroke" and "Powell" have been pluralized incorrectly. You would think that someone at NBC Universal, TV Guide, or Arts Alliance America would know how to use correct grammar. You would be wrong.

Seriously, folks, say it with me: "We will never use an apostrophe to indicate a plural."

Double Fail.

Silly girl. Apostrophes are for contractions and ownership (and never for plurals)!

From the idiots what brung you Max Hall and Austin Collie...

Yes, we can see that BYU fans ARE more intelligent than the rest of us, as they so often try to tell us. For instance, this BYU fan doesn't know how to use simple grammar.

I need to get my "glass's" checked.

This poor woman will forever be remembered for not teaching her children how to use simple punctuation.

Wow. Just, wow.

I have nothing to say.

Please, just stop!

Seriously! Don't use apostrophes for plurals! I've had enough!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully it wasn't a teacher of those students who made this sign.

Don't hire these guys to make your sign.

I never thought I'd see the word "Ladies'" spelled this way again.
